CYNTHIA HORWATH
Cynthia Horwath is a self-taught artist and has been drawing since childhood. Her engaging portraits are created using a simple No. 2 pencil. She aspires to bring forth the character of each subject through her meticulous renderings of each subject.
Cyntia was born and reared in Beckley, West Virginia. Following graduation, she served in the United States Army and later moved to Orlando, Florida. In 1990 she returned to southwest Virginia.
She is a past winner of the Carter Caves Art Expo in Olive Hill, Kentucky, and has received First Place and the distinguished award, "Best of Show" at the West Virginia State Fair in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Her work was accepted and exhibited in the Huntington Museum of Art during the Tri-State Artist Association’s “Juried Exhibition 2000.”
Cynthia is available to do commissioned drawings from black & white or color photographs.
