ETHEL WILLIAMS
Ethel Williams grew up in West Virginia and has lived in the Belfast area of Russell County, Virginia, since 1977. She has been crocheting for 30 years. As a girl she fell in love with the pretty designs and wanted to learn how to create them. It was Ethel’s mother-in-law, Mildred Williams, who taught her the first 2 stitches: the single and double crochet stitch. Since that time Ethel has maintained her passion for crochet and as time allows, especially in winter and fall, she makes crocheted gifts for friends and family.
Ethel uses 100% cotton (bedspread weight) thread for her pieces.
