MOUNTAIN EMPIRE CC
Home Crafts Days festival began in 1972, a folklore class project at Mountain Empire Community College in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. It featured a handful of craftsmen and women, artists, musicians and dancers. It was a great success and started a celebration that has continued 30 years. This 5 CD recording of musicians and storytellers represents part of the many that have made Home Crafts Days a celebration of the best in traditional music, storytelling and crafts.
