PEGGY KEITH
“I have always loved being able to make things. Horses and sewing are a natural part of my life. Being able to combine the two, whether in fabric or leather, gives me a sense of joy.”
Peggy enjoys creating in different mediums such as clay, leather, paint, drawing, and fabric. Raised on a small farm in Castlewood, Viginia, she was able, as a child, to explore her artistic abilities. Her greatest joy is to create things for her family and friends.
Peggy attended SwVCC where she completed Arts & Crafts Production, Entrepreneurship for Artisans, and the Trade Apprenticeship certificate programs of study, and where she received the General Studies/Fine Arts Associate Degree. She plans to eventually own and manage a tack shop and gallery of handmade leather-tooled crafts. Additionally, Keith would like to be able to teach arts and crafts to young children believing that “All children should be encouraged to explore their artistic talents.”
